"There are indeed cheaper brands but this does the job and it does it very well. Very nicely made, easy to use and with all the screw covers it looks great when fitted. You can slap the switch which makes a great positive sound and action, worth spending the money."
"Amazing value for money dual switch that does what it is supposed to do. I experienced the usual rapid deliveryand was delighted withthe overall service. As an IT professional I recognise the outstanding IT systems used by Screwdix to directly enable this service."
"I have fitted quite a few of these switches and they are good quality and value for the money. I experienced my first failure last week when I had a call back from a customer and it turned out that their switch had let water in during heavy rain. When I got a replacement from Screwfix the new one had a redesigned seal. The back box and switch plate on the two different types are not interchangeable. The old type has a visible black seal between back box and switch plate (as in the photo above) but the newer design has a seal built into the switch plate which is not visible when assembled. Make sure you apply plenty of clear silicone sealant to the rear of the back box before fitting it to the wall to prevent moisture getting in through the screw (and any cable) holes."
"Although this switch looks the part, one thing I would have liked to have seen is a rubber ring seal that can be mounted when using the centre hole. Other than that I have just pumped sealant into it and drill the water excess hole out at the bottom just in case."
"I installed this socket and when I went to undo the unit to check wiring the socket popped on one of the joints and the threads broke making it unusable as a weather proof box. Subsequently bought equivalent MK masterseal unit which is much stronger and am happy with it."
