Good way to terminate SWA
17 Apr 2015

" Does the job well, good quality and robustly made, thread doesn't strip when tightening. Used this to terminate 16mm 3 core SWA which it did with ease. To connect the earth lead to the banjo I use short roofing bolts like item number 91775 as the large head gets a good contact on the cable, strip about an inch off and wrap it around the bolt and tighten as much as you can. For the best results use an earthing nut however these aren't available from Screwfix on their own but they are included in the Taurus (Tarus) range for a few pounds extra. Scored 3 out of 5 on features because I can't stand banjos, once you've used earthing nuts you'll never want to go back "

Missing brass "olive" in one s
23 Oct 2015

" These are sold as a pair. One set was complete. The other was missing the brass olive inside. Luckily I only need one for the job. The other is resting in the "odds and sods" box for spares. Disappointing! "
