"I treated some plywood sheets and other timber with this when building a roof, but ran out for the last two sheets of plywood and I used Screwfix No Nonsense clear wood preserver on those. 6 months later in winter now I get to painting the timber, the sheets treated with this were fine but the last two sheets had mould growing on the surface. The No Nonsense clear wood preserver in it's current formulation kills insects but does not protect against mould like this product does. Also when I put on the ply I noticed this product is water based so does not leave the surface slippery like the solvent based No Nonsense clear wood preserver, so it would be good for surfaces that would be walked over."

Review 2 for Sikagard Universal 5 Star Wood Treatment Clear 5Ltr
"So far the product appears to be working well with good coverage and absorbancy. The price is about right and perhaps cheaper than several other brands of wood treatment and in these tougher economic times we need value for money."
