"I wanted a pair of post lights to replace two which were broken by a careless so-called 'tree surgeon' (another cowboy). These lamps are relatively small, very light cast alloy with glass panels, ok.- on the basis of you get what you pay for these are not bad. They look reasonable when in place. The fiddly bit is the glass clamps which are retaind by small screws approx. 2mm. x 4mm long"
"I recently purchased these Post Lights and was very surprised to find that they actually had Glass inserts and were solidly made. Having purchased previous others at similar and in some cases more expensive prices only to find the body was made of high density plastic.
I suggest energy efficient bulbs...ie:.. the new halogen candle bulbs as they give better impact."
"I have a row of these lamps in my garden and they look brilliant. They have not rusted in the last year at all. The one problem is that they rely on 5 thin metal upright bars (beteween the glass pieces) to hold the upper part of the lamp. they have very little strength if accidentally knocked."
"i wanted plastic ones, but catalogue didnt say they were aluminium painted black. so i did not install this product because we are only 3 mile from the sea these type of lamps corrode. sent back for a full refund and bought some very nice stainless steel ones instead"
