"Got fed up with my cheap and cheerful blow torch being difficult to adjust and keep adjusted so i found a good deal and treated myself. Oh wow, what a nice bit of kit, just press the button and solder. Much more controllable and precise than my old torch. Much quicker too so it is less likely to cause damage to the surrounding area. No idea how reliable it will prove to be but being a DIYer, i expect it to outlast me. It's a real pleasure to use so i can't wait till my next plumbing job. Might even get my self some Mapp gas and try a bit of brazing."

Review 2 for Rothenberger Super-Fire 2 Brazing Torch
"Just bought another one of these, had the last one for 51/2 years bought a cheaper blowtorch only lasted 6 months have come back to the Rothenberger Super-Fire 2 Brazing Torch. Like they say you get what you pay for. Rothenberger not cheap but they are very well made and worth the extra."

Review 3 for Rothenberger Super-Fire 2 Brazing Torch
"I've been using the Superfire 2 for years. i must be on my 5th one now.
In terms of ergonomics, there's no better torch to own in my experience. Even with the bottle attached the torch is lightweight and gets into almost any gap (you know how it is). On top of that, the ignition button gas valve are fully operable with one hand while holding the torch. There's also a great range of accessories for this torch - for example I've installed a heat proof tip on mine to avoid carpet melting accidents. I've also installed the nozzle from a pencil burner kit which gives me a solid but NOT huge blue flame.
Overall I don't consider myself to be a Rothenberger fan - this is for two reasons, both of which apply to this torch.
1st reason is durability - I've never had one of these last longer then 2 years and with the cost of the original unit and spares I feel that you should pay less for the item.
2nd reason - accessories! Why sell heat proof tips, pencil kits, nozzles etc etc separately? Taking into account the price and durability I feel Rothenberger should offer things like the heat proof tip with the torch.
All of that said, nothing else seems to feel as good nor perform as good over time."
