"I was extending a ring and wanted to rcd protect it. After looking at a few different housings the guys in the showroom pointed this one out. It was perfect for the job. Very sturdy casing. Good price and plenty of room for cables. I would definitely buy again. Nice unit. Four stars for reliability as only just been fitted."
"The product supplied is different to the catalogue image however its much better design one of the best "garage" units ive ever installed. Fitted four of these so far this year and i must say the quality is excellent much better than some well known brands. the enclosure is strong and robust plenty of cable entrys and doesnt flex when an SWA gland is fitted plenty of wiring space inside too id happily terminate a 16mm 3-core SWA cable into the incomer with no problems. Also you can fit 3 MCBs which is handy for an extra circuit in addition to sockets and lights. wish they would swap out the B32 for a B16/20 as most garage/shed installs use a radial socket outlet circuit wired in 2.5 mm cable but thats my only complaint"
"The BG Garage Kit Enclosure 5-Module IP55 40A RCD Dual 6A & 32A MCB Is a great product. Well made easy to fit and priced well. Its an ideal choice wherever you require RCD/ELCB protection to Sub Circuits/. Great for 2 circuit use in Small Buildings ,Garages and sheds or for bigger schemes to provide local protection.Loads of room inside its Substantial Durable case I also use them for Protection of Small Free standing Machines.such as Fume Cupboards and Spray booths. Cheers."
"Having fitted a few Garage units, this BG unit is very good for the price, how it performs only time will tell, reason for the 3 stars on reliability section, but plenty of room and easy to install, will purchase more."
"Good casing strong enough to hold swa cable. Why on earth does BG insist on installing a B32amp MCB in a garage consumer unit. 9 times out of 10 most garage sockets are wired as a radial circuit, so unless wired in a minimum of 4mm twin and earth a 16amp is required which you will have to purchase separately. Also as this is a consumer unit install or replacement this is notifiable work and must only be carried out by a registered electrician."
