"I have always used turbogold or reisser screws in the past but thought I'd give these a go being a bit cheaper. Very very pleasantly surprised in all and excellent as a general purpose screw. Good selection of sizes and drive nicely."
"How do you review screws in any meaningful way? All I can say is I have done a number of projects converting and renovating properties and I keep coming back and buying these trade packs for their value, convenience and reliability."
"This pack is a must for anyone in the trade, or an avid d-i-yer like myself. There is a wide variety of screws for all jobs, big or small, and the quality of the screws is great. I have bought these screws before, but the value pack is even better."
"Excellent value, good selection, good quality, the bulk pack saves time and makes sure I never run out of fixings, the screws are good quality with good bit engagement to make sure screws drive home, unlike others that tend to be too soft and fail, no matter how good the bit is."
"what can I say - as long as you have the correct size bit you wont find any problems; whats more, they come out as easy as they're put in - a big plus if like me you make a lot of mistakes or you simply want to hold something in place while you get everything in position. Decent screws, a li-ion powered drill and the right bit has changed the way I work. Will be interesting to see how the screws weather."
"I usually buy the turbo gold screws, but on a particularly long day I happened to write the wrong code on the in store slip. I know it's hard to get excited about screws but I must say, these are just as good, if not better than the brands like Reisser and Spax. Every size drives into timber without a pilot hole with very little, if any, splitting. The heads are strong and don't get chewed up, even when used in hard woods or driving through knots. And the fact that these multi packs are on offer most of the time, they are very easy on the wallet. A great buy!!"
"These screws give you 4 great advantages - the serrated tips mean you penetrate and grip sooner than normal - the same tips mean you cut faster into the wood - the serrated heads mean your screws pull in flush with minimal effort. So all-in-all much more work from each charge on your screwdriver.
And the 4th advantage? In 5, 10 or 20 years time when you need to take it all apart - these screws come out cleanly leaving no stains behind them. Just replaced some 20+ year old fence panels this week!"
"I purchased a couple of thousand screws in various lengths, all driven with a battery-powered drill-driver.
So far I've driven in about a thousand of these, joining 18mm WBP ply sheet flooring to 20mm softwood. Not a single duff screw so far, no bit slippage as the heads are suitably hard, and they all went in rather easily. No pilots were drilled.
The knurled thread at the tip was effective at sawing/cutting the few starting turns into the hard upper ply sheet, and the chamfered heads have little ribs that are very effective at chamfering the hole for a flush fit.
I would definitely recommend these and would buy again."
