"I ordered 10 of these as they were so cheap. They were slightly different to the photograph, the butterfly is in a slightly different position and there is a semcircular arch at the right hand end.
Overall the bolt seems to function okay. A couple of the units were quite sticky and not smooth in operation. The parts aren't aligned quite correctly. The others however are fine.
They are slightly wider than some other padlock bolts being 52mm. You will find it very tricky to fix them to 50mm timber without splitting the wood. There are four square holes for M6 carriage bolts on the main section and two on the small securing piece. The main section also has four screw holes and the small section has two.
The actual bolt extends about 30mm from the main unit, which is quite good reach. The diameter of the bolt is about 12-13mm.
Altogether it feels like quite a cheap unit, doesn't give a very professional finish. But if you want a cheap unit then I would recommend it, it's a very good price."
