"I should have drilled a pilot hole but I was in a rush and did not have the correct drill bit. However, this screw was fantastic, the star drive worked really well and they screwed in with minimum fuss. I would definitely use them again."
"These looked a bit flimbsy . . . THERE NOT These drive in with the greatest of ease . . . saying that . . one or two did need a bit of a heavy push to drive into knots in the decking framework that I was assembling. Before you say it . . . yes I know pilot holes would have helped, but pilot holes really were not required."
"i use loads of the turbo gold screws but these were a particular size that were perfect to the mm for what i needed. and they were cheaper so i tried them.... and the're better! the turbo gold ones can every now and again sheer as they're so hard. no such breakages with these and if use as many as i do the small saving all adds up!"

Review 13 for Timco Velocity 6.0 x 80mm Pack of
This review is from Velocity Velocity Multipurpose Trade Case x mm Pack of 1000.
"I was not impressed with the Velocity screws. The spec gave a good read but they are slow to cut into melamine faced chipboards that you generally find on kitchen cabinets and doors. Take too long to 'bite' I will stick to my Fischer or Spax screws in future. Nice case though."
"Purchase three boxes of the screws to use to join 200mm softwood sleepers together , but the first one "stuck" a about 40/50mm in. Thought that it might be something to do with my cordless , so tried the electric drill and it wouldn't shift. A stated feature of this screw was that it locks in , which it does do very well , but is pointless when 80% of the screw is sticking out and it won't reverse. Ended up having to cut it flush !!. Tried drilling through the first sleeper and then screwing it into the second but again it locked early and the joint was not secure .....had to hammer it down . End result , I had to use something else . I was able to return the two boxes I hadn't opened and get my money back but i am now stuck with a box of 48 useless screws and out of pocket for £41.00. Not impressed."
