"Spend sometime on the base. I put in footings and concrete foundations and bricked up to the required height. And then in filled with concrete making sure it was correct height and level. Being hexagonal made this part of the installation very interesting. Secured the summerhouse floor to the foundation and built the walls after making sure everything is rot protected. Walls are the easy bit, the roof in 6 sections is heavy and needs more than a few hands to get it right. A few new to me trades are required to be learnt - felt roofing and glazing but the final job looks good. Plenty of spare glass is provided to repair the odd cracked piece. Use plenty of mastic on the joints. The only other extra is some plastic angle to finish the felt at gutter level. So far been stress tested by heavy wind and rain - no problems."
