"Bought this for cleaning up the patio paving and block paths and works well (despite the hard work) without the mess of a pressure washer shooting all the pointing out. Regular brushing with this very stiff broom keeps it looking clean and tidy.
The broom appears to be well made and the bracket provides a good tight fit on a broom handle. As one other reviewer mentioned the best way to fit the handle is to start it by hand then with the broom upside down hit the end of the handle on the ground whilst holding the broom head. After a few good hard blows the handle will be a good tight fit. A screw hole is provided for additional security but probably will not be needed unless the broom handle shrinks."
"The stiff brooms supplied by Screwfix are of excellent quality with the broom head finished smooth and free from splinters and the bristles stiff and excellent for outdoor sweeping to gather and dislodge dust and dirt from a variety of surfaces with ease allowing the bristles to do the work. Superb quality at the low price of £2.99 including VAT"
"Bought this Brush Head to sweep my patio as I have some trees close by so always battling with leafs and such like. Did a very good job and is stiff enough to remove most debris but soft enough to remove dust also. Shame my local Screwfix didn't have a Handle especially as they had the Head."
"The stiff bristles are great for sweeping away 6 inches of partly compacted snow! My technique for fitting the handle avoids shaving and should preserve the bracket:
1. Mark the depth of the bracket on the broom handle. 2. Hold the handle veritcally and place the broom head at the top end with the depth marking. 3. Rock the broom head up and down, applying gentle downward pressure onto the handle, until the handle attaches securely to the bracket. 4. Use the broom head to gently hammer down the handle onto the driveway / paving until the depth marker is reached."
"The brush head is good except for the green plastic handle holder on the top....if you use too much force or try & sweep a large amount of debris......mine broke & out comes the duct tape & drill to put another hole into a sound bit of plastic.I will not buy this type again......it is £3.42 for a reason."
