" Very nice. Fully pressure treated for a long life.
There is a video on the manufacturer's website (google Parsley Cottage Playhouse# showing the finished article and they were brave enough to put an adult into the frame rather than very small children to make it look large. As it is, it looks larger than the video made it seem.
Download and print the instructions from Screwfix so that you can mark off parts without having to open the screws and instructions packet you receive #although all screws etc are separately wrapping inside.
I feel like I'm about to point out nothing but problems but it really is very nice and should give many years of use.
Delivery was efficiently organised by the manufacturer with a web page (or phone number) to a arrange a delivery day. We a received an small extra baton from someone else's shed which suggests that delivery might sometimes be a little haphazard, and two parts were cracked upon delivery. The manufacturer sorted out the missing parts very pleasantly with great efficiency.
Putting it together was hard work for amateursand took around 4.5 hours for two people to build it.
Nothing much went wrong.
The roofing felt is cut too closely, an extra cm on each piece would have been very helpful, but they're probably perfect if stretched in the sun first. As its is, a little sealant around the edges with finish the job.
I didn't get the doors aligned perfectly first time, but that can be fixed. The screws to attach the hinges to the frame are too long, or I used the wrong ones.
I'm not sure how to mount the magnetic door latches but I built it this afternoon and I'm sure that will be easy next weekend.
The roof started to come apart a little under the hammering of the roofing tacks, but I should be able to find a couple of screws of the right length.
On decking, I was just about able to move it half a metre back into place against a fence, you do need space around all four sides to build it.
There was no problem building it with the side window on the left rather than the right.
I'll be staining it a nice colour next year once it has weathered a little.
Now I just need to wait for my 4 year old daughter to return from holiday to use it.
Don't be put off by my 3 and 4 star review, remember that it's 3 for good, 4 for very good. "
