"I use these and they are easy to fit and adjust for closing speed. They lack the shiny box surround of some of the more expensive models but they do the job well. As mentioned in other reviews some of the cheaper units are very hard to open but these are just right."
"I bought this to replace a larger unit that closed a wooden door into a wooden frame. The door and frame are now UPVC and you cannot fit a door closer on the inside. The instructions are hideous! It took longer to work out what the pictures meant than it did to fit it and you need to be very careful indeed as it is very easy to drill holes in the wrong place. Once fitted very easily adjusted to suit closing need and works very well indeed. How it stands up to the weather remains to be seen. Good value for money."
"I bought two different makes door closers on the same day. This was the more expensive one.I used it on a heavy Victorian front door, Once I had worked out that you cellotape the template to the door frame and punch the marking holes through the paper it was a breeze to fit. It is not adjustable as regards power apart from repositioning the whole unit though the speed of closing is easily adjusted. It is not too heavy to open - unlike the cheaper unit. which I have since removed from the door I fitted that to. It is a good piece of kit. Spend the extra and get this"
"i work as a handyman at a home for the elderly.. this is the first time i've bought this model closer for a residents bedroom & it is very easy to install, very reasonably priced & most importantly it works well."
