"I love these reducers. Instructions are shocking but if you know how to do them you shouldn't need instructions. They are invisible in use and there is no need for Chucky reducers or ugly pipe alterations. Cheaper than mort reducers too :-)"
"A great product when a 10mm tap or fitting is not available. I was a bit confused by the packaging as it states fitting an olive but I realised this was just generic packaging for compression fittings. This part is all you need. Just dispense with the normal compression fitting olive and use this instead. You can only fit it one way round so very straight forward. As other reviewers have said; tighten until the reducers snaps and then tighten a little more. When it snaps it break the reducer in two and the two parts squeeze together to produce a leak free connection."
"Top quality item, very easy to fit and no problems at all with sealing, thoroughly recommended. ALSO, once again thanks to the staff at the Workington store for their help, very knowledgeable people and consistently very helpful and pleasant to deal with, THANKYOU ALL!"
"These are great when you want to fit 10mm pipe In to a 15mm compression fitting without solder or a myriad of fittings. Simple to use, spanner up till they crack then your done. Never had one leak but if they do like any fitting use boss white or ptfe tape . I do this regardless. Great for radiator trv's"
"I was moving a radiator and needed to drop down from 15 mm connection to a 10 mm pipe, noted this reducer on screwfix listing and thought give it a go. Struggled to see how it would work but with a dab of fernox tightened up nut until I heard the snap filled the system and waited with bated breath, not a drip or seep will surely use these again."
"Great item, had to fit a towel radiator so had to change the valve to straight valves, I could not find 10mm valves at a sensible price so purchased 15mm valves and used these to step down to the 10mm pipe, so easy to use I just took out the standard 15mm olive put in this reducer, put the nut back onto the valve and hand tightened it, cut the old valve off the pipe slid on the new valve tightened it heard the click tightened it a bit more, great result no leaks."
"Used it to fit my free TRV thatt came with the radiator on promotion onto 10mm microbore on teh old system. You need to tighten until you hear teh click of teh parts separating and then use as a normal compression. No problems as yet. Worth having a few in a toolbox."
"Excellent alternative to end feed reducers. I always ptfe and boss white these well as an extra precaution. They come in one piece rather than 3 so you can't loose part if it I the toolbox like with some reducing sets."
"After purchasing reducing sets from a local plumbers merchant for 3 radiators and having every one leak when I filled the system, I got these and having used them several times before I wasn't surprised when these performed perfectly with no leaks, first time."
"I'd been put off using these by the local plumbers merchant, difficult to use, leaks etc. Nothing could be further from the truth, worked first time, no leaks and easy to fit. Glad I decided to try them for myself. Tip, I put plenty of LSX on the joint just to be sure."
"Such a small item to save time and money. Use in a compression fitting, in place of the olive, to reduce the pipe size from 15mm to 10mm for radiator valves or similar. So often trying to find a 10mm TVR is an expensive task, with the reducing sets inxpensive 15mm valves can be used. I have used them with both copper and plastic pipe (with inserts) no problems and no leaks."
