"This is a lightweight safe, exactly the same as found in most hotels, but twice the height. From my experience, A4 documents need to be stored in a folder upright at the back of the safe, as the pages don't quite fit it trying to lay them flat. As everyone else has stated, use your own fixings, as the ones provided really are not the best, and you won't go far wrong with this item :)"
"well worth the money only thing wrong i think the bolts are too small for fixing to wall and the floor but you can allways buy bigger bolts to suit your selt for piece of mind ,to right a review about a safe what can you say about it its solid its heavy its worth the money to keep this safe."
"Easy to mount but fittings (expanding bolts) supplied are of poor quality and best upgraded for peace of mind. I fitted better quality anchor bolts. Very impressed with Screwfix telephone order and collect in store."
"Easy to set up combination, but fittings seemed a little light weight. Takes A4 sheets but any thing slightly larger may catch on bottom hinge. Only had a month or so, so reliability not fully tested but no problems up to now. I beleive it would deter the opportunistic thief."
"Having read a few reviews from other retailers of unbranded safes which could be opened by simply banging on the top, I assumed these were either defective, or old units, and there were no reviews identifying this defect on Screwfix. Having got the safe out of the box at home, I decided to try out of curiosity, and was able to open the safe without the code or key, simply by banging on the top of the safe with the palm of my hand 4-5 times. It even works with the door open but the bolts locked, by banging the top of the door. This completely defeats the purpose of the safe, and there is clearly a major design defect. This safe should not be for available for sale. I have returned the safe and will buy a branded one instead. As a chartered building engineer, I have seen many things, but this is exceptional!"
