"can't fault these taps, great price, heavy duty, ive fitted about ten pairs of them now in a secondary school, so they are getting heavy use. dont be put off by the low price, they really are a bargain"
"Fitted over 100 of these taps over the last year and not had many callbacks. If they do continue running constantly, then either remove the misplaced O ring,(not needed) or nick the edge of the invert rubber cup washer, to allow pressure to equalize. A tiny nick on the edge will do."
"Putting these taps in shared houses. Good solid taps, bit harder to push than the pairs sold here on Screwfix, so blasts the water out if on mains pressure, not sure if these come with flow regulators like the pairs but if they do, I highly recommend installing them as they greatly reduce wastage and splashing."
"bought these taps a few weeks ago good value compared to others on the market but as already mentioned they are hard to press down to switch them on. Sadly i am in the process of changing them for better quality ones, as a few of our visitors are elderly and the can`t push them down. I myself have problems had to punch it last night with the flat of my hand. Cheap and Cheerful comes to mind.Buy a better quality one is my advice."
Product Code: 73178. The taps worked ok for 3 months past the 2 year warranty period. The taps are used in a domestic bathroom. one of the taps has always been a bit slower to close than the other. Now it will only close if pulled up by hand, defeats the whole point of fitting the self closing tap. Given my experience of the taps I could not recommend them to anyone."
"we installed 8 of these taps 5 months ago in a commercial building, we have already had to replace two as they no longer close and have now had a report that another two are starting to have the same problem. next step is to replace them all for a different make."
