Perfect edging
22 Jul 2014

"This product is exceptionally easy to use and comes with straightforward fitting instructions. It provides a very neat finished edge to laminate flooring (in my case Havana Oak) by blending in discreetly, particularly with external mitres. A much better option than, for instance, scotia trim."

Good edge- not so sticky.

"This is a great product which allows a very neat finish if you mitre the corners,
I found that the best way to get the self adhesive to stick is to use a thin wallpaper scraper between the laminate floor and this trim, push really hard to the skirting until the sealing lip on the top edge of the trim pushes upright on the skirting.
Short lengths will not stick well so use clear silicone, and tape to secure until the silicone sets, Silicone is also good for areas where the adhesive won't work.
You have no chance if the skirting / tiles /shower tray etc, is not squeeky clean and dry.

"All you need to do to get that perfect finish is to use gripfill and clear sealant around the edge, then insert the stip. Once in use blue masking tape to hold ot in place. (comes off when left to for over a day)
This is a fantastic product."

"this product is superb for finishing the edges of laminate flooring.its made of a hard but flexable plastic and looks outstanding around the floor edge.ive been looking for years for something like this and its so much better and neater than the quadrant that is normally used.i would highly recommend useing this trim if you want a great finish"

Neat finish

"Overall, a great idea which looks neater than using quadrant. Easy to cut. As previous reviews, sticking is a bit hit and miss. Would be better if it had a lip above, as well as below, with wider adhseive strip. I used a flat piece of wood up against front edge and tapped all the way along while pressing down flush with floor with finger. This seemed to work well."

Neat finish
20 Mar 2012
By Malcb

"Gives a neat finish when the corners are mitred but don't rely on the as supplied strips to be cut square. I got a tighter joint re-cutting the ends.
It's a bit tricky to use. I stripped off the first 3in of backing tape and then pushed that end into position. I could then pull off a bit more tape and push the next bit into place. The tape is thin and strong to in will pull up from behind a half stuck strip.
It could do with something to stick it to the flooring too, but flexible so that it stays stuck to the wall. I found that you need to push the back done before sticking it to ensure no gap under the strip to the floor and even then I then to get say 1mm gap. And of course wood floors move up and down as you walk on them. But only the mice are low enough to see this gap so the overall look is good."

non sticky - sticky edging

"Without doubt better looking than the other types on the market - but only if you cant get under the skirting. The stuff has its own self adhesive but its not effective and had to be glued into position. Difficult to produce a clean corner due to the white internal contruction which shows the joins if you are not very very very very very careful and absolutely useless at any angle other than 90 degrees. Would like to see it without the adhesive and made in all the same colour material - it could than get up the ratings."

Looks good, doesn't work
8 Oct 2010

"These look great and the idea of sticking them to your skirting boards is good. If you have perfectly straight floors and walls then this would probably look and fit really well. But, if your house is anything like mine and not completely straight then the finish will look very poor. The sticky strip doesnt stick well at all and if you have the slightest lump on your skirting board it wont sit properly. we had to stick ours down with proper strong glue to keep them in place."

"This edging looks good being flat to the laminate flooring but the self adhesive strip that aligns with the skirting boards does not adhere and even with applying pressure to a strip overnight it came loose when the weight was removed in the morning"

All style, no substance

"The adhesive pads that are supposed to stick the trim to the wall don't work.
I scrubbed the skirting boards down properly prior to installation to ensure a clean and dry surface but this didn't make a difference and the next day almost all of the trim was showing signs of coming unstuck.
It's a real shame as the product looks great but all in all it's been a big disappointment.
I'd recommend avoiding unless you're prepared to remove the adhesive pads and attempt to use a grab adhesive instead. This is what I've done but only because I already had the product, this took ages i wouldn't do it again."
