Great bit of kit

" I opted for a 150 watt element to save electricity if it was inadvertantly left on. It has replaced a 400 watt element and performs fantastically. Warms up in 20 mins and dries the towels fine "

Simple & straightforward

" Hard to see how the previous reviewer couldn't get this to seal. It has an 'O' ring which (if it isn't overtightened) should give a reliable seal with no need for any PTFE tape or other sealant.
Easy to fit and for me150W gives enough heat in a 500 wide x 1000 tall flat towel rail without running up too big an electricity bill!

Towel rail150w heating element

" The Tee-piece was fine, but the element's thread was rough and the burrs needed filing off to enable it to screw freely/fully into place.
The o-ring was then able to seal properly.
The built-in thermostat seems to be opening 'early' at <60C when fed by a Dimplex controller on max-but ok so far on reduced setting but not as warm as original. Makers Tesla have been informed.

" Fitted with new towel rail and failed after 12 hours, replaced without fuss by screwfix and the second one failed again inside 12 hours.
3 fits and travelling expenses along with an unhappy customer makes this product a no no.
I would like to say screwfix were very helpful and refunded without any hassle.
