"This bit is 60mm short, so perfect for pilot hole for 5mm screws. Its produces a good round hole in wood to a diameter of 3mm. You will need an electric (or manual) drill though to achieve this (not included). Clamp the drill to the bit at the chuck to the non-cutting end of the bit. Be aware that during operation the bit will spin very fast but this is necessary to cut the 3mm round hole."
"I have been laying solid bamboo flooring and have been using these drill bits to drill pilot holes for secret screws through the tongue. They get very hot very quick and I have gotten through 20+ of these drill bits for 30sqm. I needed something precise and these are great as the brad point allows for very accurate drilling but if you are using in hardwood make sure you order a load as you will find they snap easily."
