Customer Reviews for Unika Multipurpose Worktop Jig
"The quality of the Unika is superb, its hefty enough to stay put with minimal effort from the clamps & because its a smooth formica finish it is easy to mark for temporary sets with pencil. I used it to mitre a bathroom worktop that was only 230mm wide & it did the trick. The instructions are very comprehensive & even if you've never used one before, the guide helps you through step by step with the standard cuts all set out, so you don't have to worry too much. The plastic locator pegs are fine, but I can see they would get lost easily - so keep them safe...A very good product which I'd highly recommend..."
"I used this jig to mitre a worktop for the very first time and without any experience. The results were a flawless mitre on a very expensive worktop. Only minor flaw is that only 6 pegs are supplied and on a busy site it can be easy to lose these. Otherwise a perfect 5 stars and a great product."
"You need to follow the instructions and I would recommend that you do a few test joints on old worktops [if you're refitting an old kitchen then there should be some available from the one you're ripping out.]. Take your time and double check your set up. Make sure you have lots of space and that you won't get caught half way through a cut, or that the jig won't move and it does what it is supposed to. The joint finish is not just down to the jig it's the router, bit and how you handle the router. Practice makes perfect and if you take your time and do a few trials it will look and feel like a professional joint."
