"An impulse buy of two of these from the sale rack at the service desk. At £5 it definitely is less than half the price you will pay anywhere else. The base seems to have a magnet that attracts the metal of the 3 AAA batteries inside the tube rather than the tube which seems to be aluminium (maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I think). I had my reservations about this, but it provides a pretty strong mounting either stood up vertically into the base or sideways like a tiny strip light. I did a facelight of my kitchen, but didn't go as far as routing new cables for low voltage under-cabinet lights, and these little stick lights are fine under the cabinets for a bit of extra ambient lighting when focused downwards. It's a bright white light that is very directional and blinding if aimed at you though. I just mounted the base with a couple of small screws rather than using the provided self-adhesive pad which I have no doubt will be a swine to remove in the future."
"Brought this little light just as a back up inspection light. It's absolutely brilliant for tight spaces, used behind a toilet and even used it in a loft yesterday. GET ONE! Only had it a couple of days so reliability is 3."
"I had bought two of these to use as some cabinet lighting and they give good light at first for the first day or so and then they become very dim. You also power through batteries like there is no tomorrow, even high use batteries don't really last anymore than a week. These are a nice idea but I cannot understand how LED lights use so much power??? Not impressed."
