"Having disappeared from the latest catalogue I was pleased that these were still available to buy in store. These screws drive in easily and are slightly cheaper than the equivalent SPAX ones. Thread pitch looked different to e.g. Goldscrews which might explain the low rate of splitting that I experienced with these. Quite pricey but a decent product."
"I have been using a multitude of different 100mm scews to join joists (4x4) for a loft conversion. The real test of a screw is whether you can get it in without destroying the head so, if you ever need to you can get it back out! This fixing has superb strength, it cuts straight through the wood and you could drive it through two 4x4s and back again if you needed to. It is more expensive than any of the others I have used but worth every penny!"
"We have the full range (almost ) of these screws and are great because the posi- heads retain their integrety and their is no need to drill piliot holes. They are expensive but well worth the extra, A real boon to D~IY pensioners !"
"I tend to use either Spax or Fischer screws, though I think these just have the edge. Drive in nicely without pre-drilling (though I still tend to pre-drill hardwoods), rarely sheer when using an impact driver and don't seem to react with acidic woods such as oak when used internally."
