"I bought this heater 4yrs ago and it has had some use and always heated my 20 x 10 garage brilliantly. I bought because I was restoring a classic bike and wanted to do as much of the work myself (I am a maintenance engineer), including all the paint work, so I needed a warm enviroment to spray in and this small heater did a big job. And is still performing as good as new"
"This heater is excellent! Small, quiet - but very efficient. I'm using it to heat an 18' x 12' partially insulated workshop and it works extremely well, even on really cold days. Thermostat works well - in fact I often have to turn the heater off for a bit as it gets too hot! I've also used it in a large open ended barn in the coldest weather to stop my hands dropping off whilst rebuilding a sports car engine's bottom end - it provided ample local heat.
As with any fan heater - prepare yourself for a shock when the electricity bill arrives.
Only problem I have experienced is that I lent it to somebody (can't remember who!) and I've now got a cold workshop.
I'll probably buy another one!
If you want to heat a larger space, I can definitely recommend the 10KW propane heat that Screwfix sell. I just bought one for my 2 car workshop. It lights easily, and heats the space very quickly - but will rip through the gas, so best not to leave it on too long.
"I purchased this heater for my small 18 by ten workshop took an age to get the chill off even longer to get it anywhere near warm, ish and if you open the door well you can guess. Hardly blows any warm air so i dont know where they get the idea its turbo,d from perhaps they forgot to fit it on my one. appreciate its new and may need to loosen up but if it doesnt over the next few weeks will be sending it back for a refund!!"
"granted, this is very cheap, but its performance is severely lacking! i read the other review that said it is more powerfull than it look and if anything i'd say its less powerfull than it looks! small shed heater maybe, workshop heater it certainly isn't. pretty disappointed to be honest."
