"I have owned quite a few different styles of DeWalt Boot and a good pair of Scruffs as well. Usually the tan - styles. I wanted something a bit different and mainly for use when working in people's houses. So a bit more lightweight with a sole that didn't drag in all the stones from someone's drive. These fit the bill perfectly. They are very light to wear. I like the black styling, I'm loving the plastic lace hooks. The metal one's often get knocked and bent, meaning the tear the laces. These don't. Difficult to tell longevity of them being plastic - but should last the year no problem. They don't protrude much. Means doing up the boots is dead easy. They also don't tend to come undone I've found. Most boots need a double knot - these don't.
Only downside I can see of these is they aren't at all waterproof. In fact the wedding sides are rubbish even if you step in a puddle. So, not a pair of boots for working outdoors in. But, that's fine - I have other boots for such purposes.
They' ve been great when fitting bathrooms, where the traditional DeWalt boot can be very heavy and clumsy indoors.
I'd certainly recommend them and buy them again."
