"About 30 years ago I bought a predecessor to one of these passive RCD sockets for outside use and it worked perfectly until about 18 months ago. To replace it I was tempted to buy a much cheaper RCD protected socket and this started causing problems with inexplicable tripping, just after the one year guarantee had expired. I thoroughly researched the market and again opted for MK and the price at Screwfix was much less than anywhere else I had found.
Although bulkier than the others, the unit was so easy to fit and works a treat even with several harsh switchings from on and off, which augers well for the future and we can also be re-assured by the 20 year guarantee provided by MK.
Also can't fault Screwfix who delivered it for collection at my local branch as they said they would last Saturday."

Review 2 for MK Masterseal Plus 13A 2 Gang Switched RCD Socket Passive
"I've fitted a number of these units over the years and never fail to be impressed by their solid build and finish, great ergonomics and longevity, everything about the masterseal double rcd socket screams unrivalled quality with no expense spared, fit one of these and it will be working long after cheaper units would have let you down.Yes it's very expensive compared to rivals but consider it a long term investment in safety and reliability.Recommended without reservation."

Review 3 for MK Masterseal Plus 13A 2 Gang Switched RCD Socket Passive
"I hope that it lasts well and, if not, I have the long guarantee to fall back on - assuming I don't lose the receipt.
One major gripe is the back box. It's too shallow which is quite unnecessary when you consider the cost of the unit. Clearance between the cable connections and the top of the enclosure is, because it is so shallow inadequate when using SWA cable. It's not unreasonable for MK to anticipate that the unit will be used with SWA but I'm having second thoughts as to whether I can connect it to an existing SWA spur and I doubt that I could connect it to a ring circuit made with SWA."
