"This product is exactly what I needed, great value for money and fitted in a matter of minutes, however I broke the first one because I overtightened the screw (my fault)so be careful, but at £2.99 it wasn't the end of the world, just my fault for being silly, would deffo buy again."
"Bought to replace a sink waste that had simply fallen apart after only 20 years of hard use. Robustly constructed from dark black polypropylene and lustrous satin finish stainless steel, this little beauty fitted easily into my retro-nouveau kitchen environment. Washing up is now a pleasure, rather than a chore and my fashionably quaint floor-coverings remain bone dry.
It could be improved by the addition of a blanking plug for situations where the overflow pipe is not required."
"Needed to replace cracked sink overflow so replaced waste and overflow together with this piece of kit. Following the advice of previous reviews I was careful when screwing in the plastic overflow cap and imagine it would probably crack if overtightened. The unit was easily and quickly fitted and excellent value for money."
"I bought this to replace a broken one. Not bad quality for the money but could easily be broke while fitting. The item description could do with having the dimensions of the actual overflow fitting included as many sinks differ in size this one just about fit my sink. I would rather pay a bit more and get a bit better quality but ok as a temp fix."
"Nice and cheap and easy to install. However, not the strongest of items! Take care when screwing in the strainer body as even slightly over tightening will rip the thing apart. Screwfix replaced it without issue but overall if you take care during installation it works perfectly fine and no leaks."
"Not many of these drains to fit a standard old narrow size about, wider fit looks better, so pleased I could get this item at bargain price too, but warning.......they are extremely fragile when fitting.
First one added side pipe for overflow and plastic tri prong grip in centre snapped off making it US. Bought another, tightened and snapped same way, another then broke with weight of waste pipe. Had to order more in and gentle fit. Once secure and left alone works well looks good and would have been cheap if I didn't break three on the way."
"Took the old one in and was pleased they had one that looked the same. However fitting it was not posible, the center screw was a good 2inch short making the whole thing a waste of tjme and money. The thred was coarse seemingly none metric so couldn't use anything else longer. The nut it went into was captive so I couldn't replace that either. The end result is that the whole thing was useless and had to be thrown away. While screwfix still get a very high rating for most things this is one they need to look at."
