Easy replacement for Tower
10 Mar 2012
By maerhillsman

" Tower zone valve failed after 15 years and no longer available. I was unable to use Honeywell because existing pipe ffittings from original zone valve were too tight to tighten on to Honeywell valve ...and too awkward to cut off and replace. Siemens zone valve went in without problem .. and much easier to fit due to detachable actuator. Can't comment on long term reliability but it looks well designed and made "

Easy to install
22 May 2011

" This has a removable actuator which makes installing a whole lot easier - helpful as my zone valves are located in half a metre of floor space. Bought to replace a very old Tower valve that failed. Only installed today so too early to comment on reliability. "

easy fit
2 Dec 2012

" been dreading the day when I have to change one of these. easier to change than I thought - especially when the it comes in two parts, The gearing and electrics disconnects from the valve plumbing easy, making much easier to install, especially in a tight space in the back of an airing cubby. managed to fit this without having to completely drain the system. Bolted the plumbing bit on without the hastle of the gearing/electrics being in the way. then simply clicked them on when all the wiring was completed. I had been having problem with the old valve for a few years, thought it was the synchronous motor failing, turned out to be the gearing/ valve.:- easy fit, good price, = happy warm home owner. "

Siemens don't want to know
29 Nov 2009
By GasEngineer

" Had a brand new valve fail, motor gears kept jamming. Only 1 screw holding in Synchronus Motor. Unfortunately I had lost receipt so could not return. Contacted Siemens to give feedback for THEIR benefit, I didn't expect a replacement. They just didn't want to know! Stick with Honeywell. "
