Does the job well
16 Feb 2014

"These kettles do the job just fine. Perfect for DIYer with a small project to do - they are only one-litre but that's fine for many tasks. Plastic is sturdy, as are the handles which are securely attached. Because they are small the handle get in the way a bit (if you hold them by the handle) , but they're small enough to cup in your hands or rest on floor, window sill etc. A decent step-up from a cut-off milk container :)"

OK for the price

"These are a stated by other reviewers a good bit smaller than other brands and have poor quality handles. This is not an issue for me, I tend to hold the pot in my hand and the smaller size sits neatly in the palm of my hand with fingers cupped around the sides (just). I bin the handles as I don’t need them
If you require a pot to hang from a hook the smaller size will be an issue I think, regardless of the rubbish handle, but for a hand held pot it works well.
They are made from a thinner plastic than other brands but wash out fine for reuse, even dried in gloss can be scoured off with a little elbow grease
The score would be higher if the price was lower.
If they are on offer at 2 for £2 or less its a brilliant buy. At today’s 2 for £2.35 is a good buy

"Great value plastic paint kettles that are well designed, stable and not too large. Easy to clean and cheap enough to throw away when no longer required, I will definitely buy again in the future.
Throughly recommended to any other DIYers like myself.

Not exactly No Nonsense

"Bought a couple of these as they were cheap and I thought 'what can go wrong with a plastic paint kettle'.
Well the plastic kettle works fine, it holds the paint, it isn't porous and it doesn't leak. Unfortunately the metal handle is attached to it by the ends fitting between two little bits of plastic which don't hold them tightly at all.
It means you need to be very careful when picking the kettle up once filled, as if one end of the handle has dropped out, you end up tipping the paint all over the carpet !
It's a No Nonsense item but to me, such a design flaw makes it a No sense item.

"A bit to light for me, I would have been better off with 2.5 ltr, these are ok for standing your rollers in after washing them out, you don't get that round ring left on the draining board...lol.."

Okay paint kettle

"These paint kettles are okay, not so good for white paints as there's no contrast. Expensive in my opinion for two small plastic pots!"

useful IF priced as disposable
27 Aug 2013

"These paint bowls are a perfect size for many jobs. But made of thin plastic, with flimsy handles, they are usable only once or twice.
At nearly £1.50 each they are way over-priced.
Would be a useful product if priced as disposable (eg 10 for < £5), but they arn't.

Don't buy

"Yes they are cheap, but if you want to use the handles don't buy them as the handle does not fix on secure enough to be reliable."
