"I had a Flymo combined blower and vacuum previously, which failed after less than three years. I decided on a Mountfield partly because the Screwfix price was good and partly because I could get the replacement urgently through them. The Mountfield is less bulky than the Flymo, lighter to carry around, considerably more powerful and takes less than half the time to vacuum leaves that the Flymo took. Would have no hesitation in recommending both Mountfield and Screwfix. The only downside for me was the instruction booklet, which didn't explain adequately about fixing the carrying harness, or the safety features. But these are minor grumbles! The blower/vacuum is excellent - and that's what really matters."

Review 3 for Mountfield MBL2600 2600W Electric Mulching Blower & Vacuum
"Choose the Mountfield electric blower as I hoped the build quality would be better than the bargain basement ones. It works really well - very powerful blowing action. Vacuum is good too - makes short work of leaves, even picking up large wet leaves. Shredder function reduces volume effectively, though tends to clog up after a time. Not too heavy to carry about. A few bad points: the instruction manual is awful, the plastic mouldings look rather cheap and nasty - doesn't inspire confidence , the on/off switch is a bit cumbersome - a trigger would be better, the nozzle/bag/tube attachments are fiddly to get on and off, the zip on the collection bag is fiddly and looks like it won't last too many seasons, the variable speed control doesn't make much difference bewteen high and low. Apart from those niggles it's a good machine and I'm pleased with what it does."
