Excellant Lights

"Had been looking around for some Zone 1 downlights for sometime and then came across these little beauties. Cannot find a fault with them. They were easy to fit and look beautiful - look a lot more expensive than they actually were! Had finished off our en-suite just prefect."

"Well manufactured, substantial terminal box rather than some other products, springs also substantial. Great product good price."

Check your Lamps
16 Apr 2012

"Although very competitively priced and reasonable looking, the unit FAILED TO ACCEPT MY GU10 LAMP. One make fitted, another didn't. I understand that there may be very slight manufacturing differences between makes, but this is minimal and the tolerance should allow for it. On this basis I returned the unit and purchased/fitted a number of ROBUS downlighters instead.
The 'window' in the faceplate is smaller than ideal (that is to say somewhat smaller than a GU10 lamp face), resulting in a reduced light output (assuming you can get a lamp to fit at all), and a very hot faceplate unless you use LED lamps. The faceplate screws on, but the thread is coarse and not easy to turn. I suspect that after a time in situ it might become very difficult to remove at all as the entire fitting would try to rotate in the ceiling.
On the positive side, the unit is very cheap to purchase, the connection block bracket slots into the body (no fiddly screws), and the terminal cover is held by a single screw, making for faster installation. Overall though, I would not recommend it."
