Steel Bow Saw

" Good quality sharp blade, with replacement blades available. The blade guard is an excellent idea, protects the blade and your own fingers/hands if you inadvertantly put your fingers on them! "

" Good saw with blade that lasts but foam grip on from wears easy under hard work. Maybe Should have a rubber grip. "

Good

" Good product but not as good as a chainsaw. I have been using for over a year for about 4 hours every Sunday in winter as my home is heated by a log burner, It has performed really well, however the blade supplied is for green wood and is therefore useless for dead wood, however i have been spending too long so i have bought a 'stihl' chainsaw, makes life much easier, however as i am not trained to fell trees i get a mate to help me and we use the bow saw to fell the tree as it is designed so that 2 people can use it, one on each end. Broke within 20 min of use

" Purchased to fell branches from a fallen tree. first issue was that it could not cope with the thicker branches as the blade would twist and go off and not cut strait, (this was due to the lack of tension on the blade even at the full tension setting). and after 20 min of use the blade clip broke on the Handle end. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR springs to mind. however screwfix immeidietly refunded and I purchased the 24 inch which seemed to cope with the thicker stuff much better. I do know how to use a bow saw properly and know that you have to let the blade do the work but this 30 inch is just not fit for purpose so dont be tempted into thinking that just cos its bigger it can cut thicker "it cant" go for the smaller as its much better at the job.
