Easy insulation

" Bought this to insulate my attic area, was sceptical at first, it can't be as easy as it sounds. This product is super fast to use, super easy to cut and a simple solution to the problem of insulation awkward tricky areas, just push into place and staple, it's not heavy and all you need is a good pair of scissors. Stanley knifes don't work as there are 19 layers and trying to slash through them makes a mess. Recommended ideal for novice diyers like me . "

" I've used this on jobs already and I find it far better than standard insulation and xtra therm Boards. It is more effective at keeping heat in and cold out, it has built in moisture barrier qualities, it is so easy to install. Just staple on rafters, baton over then plaster board it and skim. So quick and mess free. Most rolls are 1.2m but this 1.5m I found handy for certain jobs without the need to overlap and tape. Defiantly worth the price tag. "

" This stuff is great - 19 layers in total. Can cut if necessary with scissors. Just tape up joins with aluminium tape afterwards. Used to insulate vaulted ceiling. Attached to batons using staples then more batons on top before plasterboarding etc could feel difference in room before plasterboard went up. Excellent stuff! Definitely worth the money I'm saving on bills. "

" Used before for reinsulating old flats and it works a treat.
Use 25mm batons on the old walls and ceiling. Staple on the insulation, overlapping sheets by 75mm and tape up all the joins using foil tape.
Then screw 25mm batons using 4*75mm wood screws and a decent drill, and place new plasterboard on top.
You loose a small amount of floor space, but the extra heat is worth it!
Don't try drilling through the insulation as you'll get your bit stuck, but you can drive decent sized screws through.
I used scissors to cut it and a Tac-Wise electric staple gun with 30mm staples to hold it up.

Easy to Install

" Already bought 2 larger rolls before so know the product. Easy to cut with good quality kitchen siccors. Fix with 14mm staples
I can't comment on reliability as not used long enough to say, but other reports are good. House Much warmer and no hassle with having to wear mask and gloves since no glass fibres. Would use again

Excellent product-Easy to use
31 Oct 2011
By
, Eastbourne
" I have used both this and Tri ISO in my loft conversion both are excellent products but I find superquilt a little easier to use. Unlike a previous reviewer I have found it very easy to staple into place using a good quality hand operated Arrow stapler and best cut with sharp scissors. I also lined out my remaining loft area. It now looks like the cargo bay of the space shuttle. The loft is now warm dry and draft free. "

Big Roll
8 Feb 2011
By

" Excellent performance and specification watch the Demo video from YBS and make sure you have a second person to help hold the very big bulky roll, also have some extra large headed clout nails (40- 50 mm )for the overlap as too thick for staples. "

LOFT INSULATION
6 Jan 2010
By
, London
" Superquilt was easy to install, best method of cutting the material was using a "Bosch Cordless Universal Cutter". Much easier than the knife or scissors recommended by the manufacturers.
Improves insulation heat loss and reduces roof drafts.
Delivery was next day from Screwfix. "

Supaquilt
16 Jan 2016
By

" I used the Supaquilt foil insulation to insulate a conservatory roof. then plasterboard and skim over top. The product specs seem to be just what I was after. and wow! what a difference it makes, very little heat loss now through the roof, will pay for itself in no time I'm sure.
I would highly recommend this product.

Cutting Superquilt
9 Nov 2011
By
, France
" I have used quite a lot of Super Quilt in a stone house in France. I have found far the easiest way to cut it is with an electric carving knife. The best way is to use the knife upside down running the blade along a hard floor under the Super Quilt. This gives a very clean cut with none of the shredding that is unavoidable with either scissors or a Stanley knife. Odd shapes are also very easy. You do have to be careful not to cut the supply cable to the knife! "
