cheap but did the job well

" Used this to drill 8 holes in porcelain tiles. I had previously blunted a couple of tile drills and masonry bits to little effect. This did the job easily. Kept dipping it in water to keep it cool and used an allen key to poke the core out of the middle. Maybe not for the professional but easily good enough for the diyer. "

Only Reasonable

" Despite what it says this will drill about 10 holes well in a grade 5 tile. I found that the best way to start it off was using a glass tile bit on hammer function to give this bit something to bite into, otherwise on polished tiles it just flew around.
This is good for a small DIY project if you only need a dozen holes drilled. If your serious about getting good results do what I'm doing, save for the best you can afford!!!

" They drill a clean hole in porcelain tiles but do not last as long as branded equivalents. I got eight holes from one and nine from another and I was using water cooling spray !! "

Mixed reaction!

" Does the job it says but does not last long really. Used on some 6mm thick tiles, kept wet and slow drill speed, lasted 4 holes!
Shame because the first hole gave impression "wow, what a piece of kit" then 3 holes later "oh no!". "

" It will drill 2 holes before burning out and that's with water!
But I guess for £5 what would you expect?

" Being a core drill you would expect this to drill any tile? Burnt 2 of these out with a wet system drilling 2.5 holes in Porcelain. So the above title reveals a lot about its worth, me thinks? "

Good quality - you joke!

" Good quality is a marketing exaggeration! Expensive to drill max 4 holes at low speed flooded with water. ok, it was porcelain. Spend more and buy the Armeg version which Screwfix don't sell. "

Took it back no good

" I was hoping it could cope with the 1 cm thick hard tiles I just put up. I took it slow and the first 2mm looked ok then the diamond bits fell off and it would not drill any more so it went back for a refund "
