"Used this to drill 8 holes in porcelain tiles. I had previously blunted a couple of tile drills and masonry bits to little effect. This did the job easily. Kept dipping it in water to keep it cool and used an allen key to poke the core out of the middle. Maybe not for the professional but easily good enough for the diyer."
"Despite what it says this will drill about 10 holes well in a grade 5 tile. I found that the best way to start it off was using a glass tile bit on hammer function to give this bit something to bite into, otherwise on polished tiles it just flew around. This is good for a small DIY project if you only need a dozen holes drilled. If your serious about getting good results do what I'm doing, save for the best you can afford!!!"
"I was hoping it could cope with the 1 cm thick hard tiles I just put up. I took it slow and the first 2mm looked ok then the diamond bits fell off and it would not drill any more so it went back for a refund"
