"Run into an emergency when changing a central heating pump, valves passing and seized to existing pump. Screwfix to the rescue, got to my local Screwfix at 7.30pm purchased the 2 new valves. Returned to job, drained system fitted new pump with the new valves fitted, job done!"
"Good value conventional gate-type valve which has proven to be good in the past. I fitted two of these with a replacement pump as the existing valves were an unknown product and the system was being broken into anyway. You cannot trust all of them to shut off properly and not leak can you? Reliabilty? They don't leak now and hopefully if the pump is reliable we will never know!"
"OK on a new fit. BEWARE when already fitted and you are changing the pump, Not enough gap between valve body and nut to clear valve facing, making it difficult to slide pump in and out. If the pipework is rigid you will have problems"
