"Mine is five years old now and still going strong. This is a terrific drill which has stood the test of time in reliability and performance. As a previous reviewer said its really well balanced. It's quite easy to handle when you are up a ladder. It's my go to drill for up to 10mm holes. It will do bigger but you need a pilot hole first or else it will drain your battery quickly.
Can't honestly find anything bad to say about it."

Review 2 for Hitachi DH18DSL/L4 2kg SDS Plus Drill 18V - Bare
"I bought this drill model over a year ago, though it was in a case and it came with a 1.5Ah battery and charger.
When i bought it i was initially concerned that as a battery drill it might not have been up to the job that i was wanting it for, that of putting 50 of 5.5mm holes 32mm deep into a concrete wall. I was considering buying the heavier model but it was nearly 3 times the price, i decided I had to try this one out first. I am so glad that i did! it performs as good as any mains powered sds drill of it's size if not better. It had no problem putting 50 of 5.5mm holes 32mm deep into a concrete wall and still had charge for some more had i needed. A nice feature is the little LED light that lights up where your placing the drill bit. With a battery fitted it's a nice ballance and i found i could use it one handed with ease. The variable speed is progressive, the more you pull the trigger the faster it will drill, and i found that useful too."
