"Did the job with ease. Strong shaft and stainless steel, both essential for fixing holding down straps to masonry. No problems with slotted head, let's face it they all used to be like that."

"be aware that these screws are slotted head, I borought them in error as wanted cross head, Screwfix were fine with replacing them"

"Come on, be honest. Who uses slotted screws nowadays?
It's about time they were all consigned to the dustbin. Nearly every tradesman uses some kind of powered screwdriver, and they don't work too well with slotted screws. Crosshead is the way forwards. Let all the trades suppliers know. Slotted screws are not viable anymore...
