"What a fantastic little tool. I've used this on new bathrooms and also when resealing older bathrooms. It is very handy for re-moving the old silicon and with a choice of attachments it has really made my silicon Finnish second to none. Use any where that you require a neat finish on silicon!!"
"This tool is great for removing silicone and also for profiling new silicone. The removal tool does wear down quickly but that's not an issue.
Having found the hidden secret on this tool I would buy it for this feature alone. On the removal tool is a hidden blade that safely and perfectly removes the top off a tube of sealant every time with no effort.
Just buy one for this feature alone and its money well spent."
"As a DIYer I've always struggled to do a decent silicone bead. All the forums tell you to use your finger but for me this has just resulted in a whole load of mess and a rubbish bead.
Having tried the vitrex (amongst other unsuccessful tools) I've finally found the right tool for me. The rubber profiles scrape the tiles as you go leaving minimal mess. any tiny streaks can then be removed by using the side of the profile leaving a pro-finish.
I haven't tried the remover yet as I bought it for the profiler but I'm sure it's equally good."
"I was only looking for a beading profiler but bought this item, despite it costing more than basic profiling tools in other shops, as it was the only one available at Screwfix. The additional silicone removing features have proved to be surprisingly useful and I'd definitely recommend this tool as a good all-rounder.
The removable profiles give flexibility for different situations and make cleaning up afterwards hassle-free. The design has been well thought-out to help clear up excess silicone as well as to shape the beading. The removing tool works well on most surfaces once you pick up a few techniques to get the most out of it.
My only quibble is that the plastic of the removing tool is wearing down quickly, I'm going to be a bit lost when it no longer works."
"Bought this to reseal a shower cubicle. I found the remover tool not to be so good, it damaged easily trying to remove the existing sealant but with the help of a stanley knife it eventually did the job. The profile tool though is so easy to use & gives such a great result. We now have a better finish than we had when the professionals installed the shower 3 years ago ! Quite expensive for what you get but worth it."
