" Excellent build quality. Side knockouts for cable entry. No entries in top but it is IP65 so well designed. Lid goes on fairly easy just make sure the busbars at the top are central and cables are clear of fixing posts. Gives more options than just sockets and lights, I have separate outside sockets and lights. "

First class unit

" We used this consumer unit for my daughters dog grooming facility alongside her house. We needed five ways so have one spare. It's ready populated with MCBs, one of which I changed to a different value. Easily drilled out an aperture to accept a 10mm armoured gland. I like the lift up front cover which clicks in tightly to keep any moisture out. A great unit, and excellent value, recommended. "

" This unit was selected to fit a compact space to save the customer having to rewire fuses and the external light circuit required rcd protection so a no brainer ! "

" Really hard to install with busbar being so high up, 2 extra centimetres at the top would have helped a lot.
Had to cut extra holes in the top to get all the cables in. Was hard to do a neat job. "

" I recently installed one of these & if there's a lot of cables the space above the mcb's is quite limited, if the din rail was lowered this would improve things no end as load of unused space there (mk take note) also you have to re-route some cables to miss the 4 cover fixing posts that hold the cover on, basically it's a poor enclosure design "

" Unit was provided without any blanking panels or busbar insulator caps. If you need to remove unused MCBs after fitting (which you should do), you must source these parts additionally.
Cable entry points are via 4 x 20mm dia knockouts only, so you'll also need 20mm glands to secure cables. "

Cannot Recommend

" Looks good and robustly constructed, but not the best unit I've fitted.
Has four 20/25mm knockouts in side (Why only four?) then it is impossibly difficult to route cables for up to 6 ways plus tails & earth to top where all the terminating is done. My solution was to cut my own entry in top, thereby ruining the IP!, Even then there was not enough room to make a craftsman like job of laying the cables. Plenty of redundant room at bottom, so would have been handy if DIN rail was a little lower.
Cannot yet comment on Performance and Reliability, but I'm not expecting problems. "

" Once again MK disappoints. No room for meter tails behind DIN rail or by sides of RCD/MCBs. One side entry point inline with neutral cable and both upper ones inline with cover screw posts.
Get the designer to actually use one!
B.G. all the way from now on. "
