"I bought this to replace a broken fitting, The original was fitted along with six others about 7 years ago. I was thinking of replacing them with led units but the cost was too high and these give a very good light and are of course low energy.
Easy to fit replacement, pull out mains plug, unclip old fitting, clip in new one and re-connect plug, simple.
The only advice I would give if fitting these new is to make sure you get spare tubes. The longer ones last quite well but the short ones only last about a year and may be tricky to source at a later date.
These include a light filter/cover and on/off switch.
"I recently bought a 20W Halolite striplight from my local Screwfix in Nottingham and was so impressed all round. Service was first class- polite, patient and helpful while the product proved to be of excellent quality while also being keenly priced. Well done Screwfix - I'll be back!!"
"Very easy to fit and can be either plugged in or wired into a lighting circuit, these lights are the perfect solution to under-cabinet lighting.
Although fluroescent they give a warmer light than the majority of LED versions I've come across.
There is a choice of 2 types of mounting bracket in the pack and a short linking cable as well as the mains cord. Each lamp is individually switched which can be useful for the energy conscious when you have a number of lights linked together.
"Used 3 of these for under cabinet lights. Had 2x 2000mm wide wall units, these work out at nearly 600mm long each. So plenty of room for placement. So easy to fit and connect together, made this job easy peasy. Light output is fantastic, for the price. Cant comment on reliability tho. These can be wired into a 13A plug or a separate switch. I've wired mine into the double wall switch with the main light, so either or both can be used. One thing to note, these lights each have a small on/off switch for individual lighting (on all the time). Highly recommended."
"As per previous reviews, the fitment is extremely simple and multiple fittings are daisy-chained together via the connector cable provided,
I originally intended on buying the 800mm variant (for 800mm wall cupboards), but was put off by the reviews on their reliability. On reflection, I'm glad I went for the smaller size as they emit an extremely bright and cold light, that's more than adequate for the installation.
Only challenge now is to find internal cupboard lighting that matches the light intensity.
Overall, a very good product and very pleased with the result."
"Bought this to replace my old under cabinet lighting unit and I can say that I am delighted with the product. Easy to set up - a couple of minutes and you're done. Good "white" light and the built in diffuser softens the lighting to good effect. The ability to daisy-chain the units together is very neat. Little or no noise when starting and is simple to change lamp - although I hope I don't need to try this out for some time. The small plastic clips that hold it to the underside of the cabinet are extremely easy to fit and the lighting unit clips in (and out) with very little effort at all."
"I ordered this on line from the Mitchum branch. Unfortunately it did not work when installed. I returned it immediately and was given a replacement without question. This unit is perfect and provides excellent illumination!"
"Bought six of these to replace old under cabinet lighting. Excellant value for money, easy to install (and remove) and provides a brilliant white light just where it's needed and they are slim enough to be discreet"
"The best under kitchen unit lights you can get, easy to fit as they plug into each other and have a nice white light. I have taken 8 of these to Spain to fit in my new kitchen just installed last year."
"A very good product. It is good value, easy to fit, puts out a decent amount of light.
Can't really commontt on reliability as I only fitted it for a customer a month ago, but it's still working.
The light cover can be a bit fiddly to fit and sometimes the tube will get slightly dislodged. All that needs doing is to take the cover off, reposition the tube, put the cover back on then test the light before it's clipped in.
"Excellent light when used under kitchen wallcupboards, but I'm sure many other uses possible, Very easy to fit, Wish the catalogue had said what cables come with the light because, like other buyers I've heard about since, I ordered extra cables which were not needed!!"
