"I've used a couple of these now and have been satisfied.
Not for trade I think, who need to get through the work quickly, but if you are patient and feed the tile slowly they’re OK and good value at the current price (c. 6.00). You should finish a bathroom (porcelain floor, ceramic walls) with one blade (I did), but I'd have a spare.
The current job involves 10mm 500 grade porcelain and the blade I'm using seems to cope. It's predecessor died almost instantly when I lost concentration and failed to top up the water to ensure a COPIOUS supply."

Good Reasonable price blades

"This is the blade that came with my 750w water cooled Erbauer cutter and I have layed 2 porcelain bathroom floors (about 20m2 total) and walls and have no problem with blade life and cut quality. I don't understand some of the comments here about poor blade life unless the blades where not used water cooled or the material being cut was too thick or overloaded the cutting capacity of the blade. Will replace my blade soon using these blades."

Tile cutting with ease
18-Sep-2011

"With a large job of around 60 square metres I have used 3 Erbauer diamond cut blades (with a fourth as a spare) and their performance to date has been more than adequate. As the disc starts to dull their performance settles but overall I have been more than pleased with what they deliver. I bought an Erbauer tile cutting table which has been excellent and have stuck with the matched discs. I am sure there are better discs out there and if I was doing this professionally I would invest in a more costly high quality cutting disc(s) . At under £20.00 a disc, good performance and versatile (no pun intended!)"

"Works well for a while, but once the outer layer of diamonds have warn away the blade does not cut very well.
I was unable to cut all the ceramic tiles for 1 bathroom before replacing the blade.

Erbaur wet cutting blade
07-Oct-2012
By
, East Sussex
"On first use seemed to be quite a good buy at the third of the price of the blade i would normally choose with nice neat clean cuts. But soon due to lack of cooling it was soon jamming up and not as versatile as hoped.
Would agree with the description in the fact that it is suitable for ceramics but porcelain and natural stone it was far from suitable for and made very hard work of.
Next time I will be pre ordering my usual blade so as not to have to end up disappointed with a poor substitute.

Good but blunts quickly

"Usually buy Rubi or other top makes but these can be at least double the price so thought even if i bought 2 or 3 of these for same price as decent named one would probably get same out of it but i didn't. Just tiled 22m of porcelain wall tiles and 2m of porcelain floor tiles (take into account majority of tiles are not cut) and it burnt out before even finishing. Last couple of metres were tough. Bought this as it states for porcelain."

OK while it lasted

"Bought as upgrade to the poor quality Titan blade that came with new tile cutter. Performed OK to start with, but blunted far quicker on porcelain tiles than cheaper blades I've used previously on other jobs. £20 is a mid-range price, but below average performance in my experience. Would not buy again unless on clearance."

Erbauer Diamond Tile Blade 180

"Purchased this blade for porcelain tiles. It was used on a water cooled sliding tile cutter but lasted no more than about 20 cuts on 600mm tiles. The cutting disc performance was good but the life is too short when used on porcelain."

Not suitable for porcelain
19-Dec-2013
By
, London
"I bought this as a replacement for a Titan blade, which Screwfix no longer sell. I was tiling a bathroom with 18m2 of 10mm porcelain tiles. The Titan blade was quite old when I started the job, but lasted very well before dying with the end of the job in sight. The Erbauer blade was the cheapest 180mm/22mm bore blade that Screwfix sell. It started well but the blade blunted after about 10 cuts (600 x 300mm tiles). It would probably be fine for ceramic tiles but it was not up to porcelain.."

"Due to the fact that i needed a blade in a hurry and the choice in my local branch was limited because i required a 180mm size blade i bought 2 of these. At the price i was not expecting much and i had 75mtrs of porceline tiles to fix in a new build. Blade lasted a very short time and i was only using it to cut out L shapes etc and used my Rubi cutter for all other cuts. I think i got about 20 cuts from each blade before they dulled down. NOT SUITABLE FOR PORCELINE. I will buy a spare good blade in future!"
