"stunning, simply designed giving great support and a great finish to any breakfast bar. Solid, sturdy cast mounting bracket and a good chunky and weighty leg which is easily adjustable, even once installed. An absolute steal at the price"
"Simple and easy to install. Height adjuster on the base of unit is more than sufficient for most kitchen surface - simply, turn to increase or decrease. Very, robust cast fixing to underside of work surface and shaped to be non visible from a normal viewing position."
"A little more expensive than your average chrome leg, but this is far superior, having an adjustable leg, strong top fixing bracket, and a large 60mm diameter leg. I installed this leg under a worktop in a gap of 890mm. Bracket at top of leg is 10mm thick and spreads 110mm from centre diameter of leg."
"We bought four of these chrome legs to use as support for a built-in, stand-up desk, made of black, sparkly, thick laminated worktop material.
As another reviewer mentioned, even though measurements are given, the legs are much bigger (fatter) than they look in the photo. They look like dining table legs, often used with glass, in the 70's, though they are the height of a conventional worktop.
This is a quality product, as you would expect from Screwfix --- but I wouldn't say it's contemporary, as it's too obvious for today's more understated style."
"Fitted a few. Always looks good and does a good job of support. As they say, you could make a table out of four, but l tend to use them for abit more support where there's too much free space with a washing machine as well."
"I have used this worktop leg in a couple of situations, and appears to be a good strong product. The appearance is also very good, I have only used the chrome version but having the two colours to choose from is useful. They are not cheap but I think they are good value for money."
"This product is larger than it looks - maybe I should have looked at it more closely, but I cannot see how this can be used to support worktops. It would be great for breakfast bars, or tables, but not to support worktops above fridges or other white goods.
The diameter of the product is quite large and so you would end up with a wide gap between the end of the unit / white good.
Good value for money, but just make sure it is the size for you."
"Our kitchen was fitted April 2007. The kitchen company were charging £133 a pair for these!!! They brought a set with them by mistake- exactly the same as the screwfix ones. The chrome is still shiny a year later, with childrens' fingerprints easy to remove. Adjustable base is a good feature as we fitted laminate flooring a few weeks ago and it was easy to just make the legs a few mm shorter rather than cut around them."
