"Clearly a great product but the photo listed against the 4.5mm screw is incorrect (the 4mm one is correct). As mentioned in other reviews, the thread does not run the full length. Fortunately this did not affect me. I am using these to replace 4mm galvanised nails that had been incorrectly used on a drywall and had popped. They seem to be a good replacement. Unfortunately they were not in stock but ordered online and got them a few days later."
"Normally opt for Fischer fixings whenever possible, though these can be a tad more difficult to find amongst the plethora of "all singing - all dancing" "bells and whistles" screws available everywhere. My local Screwfix didn't have them on the shelf at the time, but ordered them for me and had them available for collection the next day."
"I bought these to do some stud work and they're just perfect for the job. The screws bite really easily and once they bite just drive them in. No pre drilling and very little splitting of timber. For one or two joints I needed a shorter screw and used normal wood screws. despite being shorter and same diameter they split the wood. I bought some 60mm Fischer screws and again they worked perfect. Before now I always considered all wood screws to be pretty much the same but the performance of these screws proved me wrong. I'd highly recommend these."
"Having disappeared from the latest catalogue I was pleased that these were still available to buy in store. These screws drive in easily and are slightly cheaper than the equivalent SPAX ones. Thread pitch looked different to e.g. Goldscrews which might explain the low rate of splitting that I experienced with these. Quite pricey but a decent product."
