"After buying (and breaking) several cheaper riveters, I decided to splash out on something that would last. The cheap tools are ok for smaller aluminium rivets, but will break as soon as you try to use them on steel or stainless ones. This tool handles them easily and without fuss and should do for a very long time. Despite some versions of the Screwfix catalogue saying that this riveter is steel construction, it is actually made of alloy; but it is heavy and strong and will last for years. My only gripes are that there is no catch to hold the handles shut when the tool is stored and that there is not a storage facility to store the spanner for the interchangable heads."
"Well made casting and good construction, not pressed steel. Easy to change nozzles. Comfortable to use. Has a long pull which makes it quite difficult to use with the big rivets if the first squeeze does not pop rivet. I have large hands and am not weak but had to use two hands at full stretch to pop long 4.8mm aluminum rivets on the second squeeze. Another rivet gun I have has a shorter pull but also needed two hands and more squeezes to pop rivet so I have not marked it down for this. It should eat the smaller rivet sizes. A good buy I am happy with it."
