"Costs a bit more than other flat bits but well worth the money. Had to drill 28mm holes in well seasoned oak and this was no problem at all. Worked equally well on end grain. Very sharp point and cutting edges."
"Drilling a 100mm deep hole through end grain of hardwood. The other bit I was using cost GBP3.00. It was so bad I only got 8mm in before giving up: the bit was overheating and moving about dangerously. The difference using this bit is unbelievable. Finished in 5 mins, including pauses to clear waste. For a heavy job, pay more to buy this bit and do it properly, quickly and safely."
"Needed a bit to cut a hole through fibre glass and wood composite (boat hull). This was an excellent choice - very sturdy so no risk of the cutters folding over, razor sharp giving a clean cut right through the material and provided a clean finish on the "out" edge with no splitting.
Not cheap but as ever you get what you pay for and this will prove a sound investment."
"Good Product, but it was expensive for a basic one off use,I would have bought a cheaper one but not available in this size.Would recommend that Screwfix try to find a cheaper version for people like me."
