" Bought this to drill 4x 6 inch holes for extract fans through very thin metal walls less the 0.5cm thick only managed one hole before going blunt and put a stop to the job.......useless!! Only buy this item if you intend to use on plasterboard or a straw house. "

Totaly useles for Mild Steel
27 Oct 2014

" I puschased this hole saw for cutting a hole in 2mm mild steel register plate.
It utterly failed to do this
It scratched the surface, but after half an hour it was making no impression.and the teeth were worn out.
I used a coolant to to aid cutting but this made no diffrence.
I had to resort to a jig saw which floated through the 2 mm plate effortlessly.
This was dissapointing as I searched the Screwfix website for a metal cutting holesaw and it advertised it as being suitable.
