Yardmaster 6x7

"Very good delivery service. All the parts were there. I wish I was physically able to put the shed up myself but had to employ someone. I read all the instructions and reviews so that I could anticipate problems, if any. I told my workman it was best to have two people and good weather conditions to do the job properly. Ignoring my advice he went ahead and naturally found difficulties. The holes didnt line up so he had to drill extra. he did get help to lift the roof. Once up, I noticed dents in some panels and can see daylight in parts, where the roof joins the side panels and around the base area. However, although the shed appears flimsy it is surprisingly quite sturdy. So far I cannot find any leaks.
The product is sufficient for my needs. I would suggest any purchasers erect it themselves and accept help to complete the build effectively.

handy tip for assembly
21 Jun 2012

"These sheds are a bit fiddly to assemble, and a bit flimsy until fully assembled and bolted down. instructions need very careful reading to make sure everything lines up ok (take care with which is the front at all times)
two tips which make life easier:
!/ Before you start fit all little screws with their washers and press into a piece of polystyrene (ceiling tile) . My son an I built two of these and the second one was done in two hours less by using this tip.
2/ use a self leveling screed on the floor deep enough to cover the steel frame , this will keep out all the damp.

A Shed for shorties
5 Jun 2010

"This is a fair product at a very good price. But be prepared to duck a lot, I'm only 5 foot 8 & I bash my head going through the door if I don't remember.
Construction is long and tedious, with a gozillion screws to put in, the instructions could be clearer, I wouldn't recommend trying in windy conditions, or without an assistant, though I only actually needed help to get the roof assembly into position.
Unlike other reviews I've read elsewhere for these sheds I found the screw holes *can* be made to line up, though it's such a pain I imagine most will end up drilling new ones, and the whole thing is a bit flimsy with very light gauge steel used (though you have to expect that unless you buy a much more expensive shed).
It can't really be described as secure either, as the "padlocking points" are merely matching holes in the (plastic) door handles, I see a hasp & staple being added, though it won't be much of one, as the doors would be easy enough to kick in if locked too well, & anyone with a screwdriver could quickly & easily remove the sides anyway as the panels screw on from the outside. So don't keep the crown jewels in it.
Though the above might look critical, I'm happy enough, it's almost perfect for what it was bought for, and you can't expect too much for the price."
