"Great for smaller areas. I thought twice about getting this mini trowel, because I thought I should be able to cope with my normal plastering trowel and large flat knife, but it was so much easier with this trowel. You do have to stop using it too much, because you don't get the flat surface you do with the larger trowel over the larger walls. You need to have the two trowels and use them accordingly."
"Bought this smaller plastering trowel to get into tight spaces around window frames and the top of doors. Perfect for this task and in addition, it has a full size soft grip handle for extra comfort and ease of use."
"Great little trowel which does help you with those tricky little bits where a full size trowel is too much. I took the time to 'wear in' this a bit before using which i think was useful. The only thing I can mark this down on is that a stainless steel blade may have been a better choice as I can see rust forming on the exposed steel."
"Unfortunately, although this was a great looking & feeling trowel, I had to return it as the underside of the leading edge was burred badly and prevented smoothing of plaster when in use. The underside of the rear edge was ok. I checked several others, and all of them had burrs either at the front or rear underside. I later checked the same trowel in other stores and all of them had the same issue - either front or rear was not suitably finished smoothly, essential for a small detailing trowel! The good news was that Screwfix had no hesitation in offering a refund or alternative."
"I bought this for small awkward places around timbers in a barn. Quite uneccessarily the handle protrudes beyond the heel. This means that the heel cannot be used up against a wall or obstruction, thus limiting the places the trowel can be used. The blade is very thick and after a small amount of use has become loose. In summary: badly desiged, badly made."
