"As a plumber I've used loads of these when fitting outside taps. They are well constructed from brass and do the job equally as well as similar more expensive products. I don't think you could ask for more from a wall plate elbow and I would recommend them."
"Fine backplate for replacing my old all-in-one outside tap that was dripping. Should only need to replace the tap in future if it dies and not mess with the pipe connection. Needed a washer between it and the £6.99 tap also from Screwfix. Can't see any reason to buy the dearer branded versions."
"Fitting a wall mounted bathroom mixer tap is slightly more of a problem than the bath mounted version. These wall plates which are intended for outside taps do the job perfectly where the supply has to come up or down inside a cavity wall."
"Fitted 2 of these, one split and leaked immediately, when lightly nipped up with a mating part. The second started leaking today, after only 1 week!, it had split in the identical place. Pooly manufactured, using inferior material. Good quality brass just sholuldn't split. Avoid!!"
"Would never purchase this item again!!! Two of these elbows split after installation and caused water damage in freshly tiled bathroom and rooms below. Tiles had to be knocked out twice to replace fittings, ceiling came down in room below, had to pay bathroom fitter and plasterer and decorator for a day each because of this trash!"
