"If it's a cut you care about, this is the saw for a neat finish. Many other reviewers have said much the same, but this is the perfect choice for a fine straight line though timber. A nicely priced, well made Stanley product. Would definitely recommend."
"Over 30 years ago I paid £30 for a Diston saw. OK you can re-sharpen them but when it comes to actually cutting it wasn't a patch on these Stanley Fat max saws that now cost 12 quid. I have had to cut lengths off 2.4m décor panels while re-furbing my kitchen and the results have been as good as using power tools. The laminate has been cut without splintering (I scribed the line first) and the saw followed the line dead straight, even and square. Brilliant!"
"These are the best handsaws you can get for general use. Fast, easy, clean cutting. I use them all the time. I have a habit of hitting a nail or a screw or something that shouldn't be there so I get through a few of them but always buy these. Bit of a tip, spray the sides of the blade with WD40 if you're cutting plywood or wet timber. It flies through!"
"I have been using Stanley Fat Max saws for years now, they make easy work of sawing - even rip sawing. I have tried other saws when these have not been available but have always come back to the Fat Max. Unbeatable performance"
"Delivers a fine finish with the 11 TPI and ground blade. The blade is slightly stiffer than some comparable saws, so gives very good accuracy across a range of wood types and sizes. Good size and comfort on the handle.Very good saw for the price."
