"I've been using these stop ends for a few years now as a temporary cap whilst carrying out plumbing work in bathrooms and kitchens. They're really handy to have in your tool bag as you can disconnect old pipes and cap the supply off in just a few minutes getting the water back on quicker, the fact you can re use them several times is great as well"
"Very quick and easy to install, ideal for temporary capping off of first fix piping for installation soundness testing purposes. Easy to remove without special tools and can be re-used several times."
"Having tried the cheaper alternative and found it difficult to dismount, I bought some of these instead. After watching the product video's, I was expecting to get the benefit of the 'twist-lock' feature that prevents accidental dismounting, but that feature doesn't come with these... I wanted to have some re-usable stop ends primarily for temporary termination of pipework while CH or water supplies were being used between installation or repair periods. These dismount more easily than the cheaper product. They are not easy to dismount, so accidental removal would be difficult. but I didn't need to use any tools to made the dismount collar work. There was still a little bit of dragging, but the stop end came off as it's supposed to. I don't know if Speedfit have coloured circlips for these, but clips made by the competition might fit. Colour coding water supply pipes shouldn't be necessary, but I can't count the times I've seen 'cold' supplied to the left."
"Nice little item, I never fully trust push fit fittings as they are never reliable as a copper soldered joint. However they are always handy to have in your tool bag and I use these as a secondary back up after isolation valves when first fixing"
"I don't usually touch plumbing but needed to quickly remove some pipes. I couldn't believe how simple it was to terminate both hot and cold by simply cutting the pipes and pushing these on. No leaks. Just brilliant."
"Was a bit unsure of the plastic fittings for plumbing, but having used a few of these parts this weekend, I am a convert! very easy to fit, easy to adapt to existing routing, no need for expensive tools, push fit is the way forward"
"Am writing this to tell people not to bother with floplast stop ends. Have used floplast 22 and 15mm stops on 6 occasions and jg many other times. floplast stops tend to leak when reusing and can be very hard to get off. This has happened several times but has never happened with the JG. They may be a bit more expensive but I would not touch the floplast with a barge-pole now."
"Only bought these as the Speedfit end-stop I had been using as a temporary stop on and off since 2002 got trodden on... Great for temp stops as they come off easy, wouldn't trust them long term personally."
